Genuine US Army GEN 2 II EWCWS Goretex Waterproof Acu Parka Jacket S,M,L,XL,XXL

Condition: New

 The ECWCS GEN 2 parka for those that are not familiar with it, is a combination rain jacket and cold weather parka.

The Jacket features a cobra hood (which fits over a combat helmet) with woven nylon drawstring adjustable pulls and an attachment piece that allows fastening of a fur ruff.

There is a two-way, full-front slide fastener to provide full-face protection, leaving only the eyes uncovered.

This parka has a non-freezing, double-pull zipper with storm flap and seven snap closure, a flap-covered pocket on the left sleeve with hook and loop (Velcro) closure,

 adjustable hook and loop wrist cuffs, armpit ventilation zippers and double reinforced elbows. A badge/insignia tab with snap is located on the storm flap.

There is an interior back ventilation opening, two slash (hand warmer) cargo pockets on the lower front and an inside draft skirt (wind skirt)

  with elastic draw cords and barrel-locks at the waist (without pulls). There are also two concealed map pockets at the front zipper

 with hook and loop closures that can be opened without unzipping the parka.

The waterproof, moisture-vapor-permeable parka is a component of the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWCS). Heated seam seal tape waterproofs all stitched seams. The Parka design incorporates the following features: Two-way closure front entry; draw cord closing hood; slide fastener underarm openings; fastener tape adjustable wrist tabs; elasticized wind skirt bottom; map pockets with fastener tape closures.

2nd Generation ECWCS parka is a soft and quiet outerwear garment constructed of durably waterproof GORE-TEX® fabric and membrane.  Updated features include roll’n’stow hood and moisture-wicking barriers at hems and cuffs.   The parka provides protection against wind and sand. Contains NIR technology to reduce detection by NVGs.

The GORE-TEX® fabric used in ECWCS garments combines a nylon outer material, a waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, and a nylon liner. It not only keeps out water, it’s engineered to remain durably waterproof even after exposure to contaminants such as DEET, and other petroleums, oils, and lubricants. So it lasts longer.
